About Dr. Herrscher
Dr. Richard Herrscher has helped thousands of patients overcome the frustration of allergies since beginning his medical career in 1997. He is a well-respected, award-winning allergy specialist and immunologist with offices at AIR Care in Dallas and Plano, Texas. Dr. Herrscher focuses heavily on symptoms as well as the underlying issue of an immune system gone awry when treating adults and children with asthma, eczema, hay fever, and other allergy-driven illnesses.
He’s dedicated to controlling allergies at their source by delivering trustworthy and innovative treatments that work by relieving allergy symptoms and supporting his patients’ long-term health and well-being. His desire to specialize in immune system disorders is based in part on his personal experience with serious allergies during his early college years. Patients can trust Dr. Herrscher’s ongoing commitment to offering the best therapies available for their allergic, immunologic, and respiratory conditions.
Dr. Herrscher graduated from U.T. Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 1986. He then completed three years of internal medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital. From there, he finished a four-year fellowship program in pediatric and adult asthma, allergy, and immunology at U.T. Southwestern Medical Center and an additional two years of training in molecular biology.
He is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Herrscher is a member of several prestigious medical societies dedicated to ongoing advances in treating allergies and immunologic disorders, including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the Texas Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology Society. He is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

Dr. Maryam Saifi

About Dr. Saifi
Maryam Saifi, MD, at AIR Care works out of the Dallas and Plano, Texas, offices. She grew up in Plano, Texas, and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She then received her Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Dr. Saifi completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. After obtaining her pediatric specialty, Dr. Saifi spent time as pediatric faculty at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, where she taught medical students and residents and cared for medically complex inpatients at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She moved to Plano to be closer to family in 2010 and served as a community pediatrician until starting allergy and immunology fellowship in 2013.
Dr. Saifi obtained her allergy and immunology specialty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 2015. She has been in private practice in the Dallas area treating children and adults with allergic and immunologic conditions including environmental allergies, asthma, sinus disease, eczema, hives, food allergies, drug allergies, and immunodeficiencies.
Though she is a specialist, Dr. Saifi believes in holistic care of the patient. She takes time to identify the root causes of illness to better address symptom prevention and relief. While Dr. Saifi is a pediatrician with a passion for improving the quality of life for children, she takes great joy in caring for patients of all ages. She joined AIR Care Allergy, Immunology & Respiratory Care in July 2019.
Dr. Saifi has authored publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has been an invited lecturer at numerous educational conferences. She is a member of several prestigious medical societies dedicated to ongoing advances in treating allergic and immunologic disorders, including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the Texas Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology Society.
She is certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Jay Jeffers

About Dr. Jeffers
Dr. Jay Jeffers is an allergy and immunology specialist with advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic conditions, asthma, and immune disorders in both children and adults. He is passionate about helping patients better understand the cause of their symptoms and develop individualized treatment plans designed to provide meaningful, long-term relief.
Dr. Jeffers completed his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he received specialized training in the evaluation and management of complex allergic and immunologic conditions. Prior to his fellowship, he completed his pediatric residency at the University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital.
His clinical interests include seasonal and environmental allergies, food allergies, asthma, pediatric allergy care, and immunologic disorders. His background in pediatrics also gives him a unique perspective when caring for children and families navigating allergies, asthma, and related conditions.
At AIR Care, MD, Dr. Jeffers takes a personalized approach to patient care, recognizing that allergy and asthma symptoms can affect everything from sleep and school to work, exercise, and everyday activities. His goal is not simply to manage symptoms, but to identify underlying triggers and help patients find treatment strategies that fit their individual needs and lifestyles.

Alicia Tran, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

About Alicia Tran
Alicia Tran, DNP, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from Oklahoma City University. Growing up in Oklahoma and experiencing allergies and asthma herself as a child, Tran understands firsthand the challenges these conditions can bring and enjoys helping patients and families feel supported in their care. Outside of the clinic, Tran enjoys baking, crafting, and spending quality time with her family.

About Diana Kline
Diana Kline graduated from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She received her undergraduate degree in Physician Assistant Studies from University of Texas Medical Branch. She brings many years of experience treating adults and children alike. As a lifelong resident of the North Dallas area, Ms. Kline understands the burden of allergic disease and seeks to obtain optimal relief for her patients. Her passion is encouraging and equipping patients to achieve their best health. In her spare time, she enjoys activities with her husband and two young children.
